Will Taking Tinidazole Cause Passing Of Black Tarry Stool With Odour?

After taking 2 g single dose tinidazole for a self diagnosed giardia infection (I'm living in Nepal and have had giardia 8 times before so i'm pretty sure it was giardia). I am having black, tarry and foul smelling stools. Is this a normal reaction to tinidazole? I'm also still feeling extremely weak in my limbs. I don't remember this happening before. It is significantly difficult for me to get to an actual doctor. Can i wait this out or do I need to make the journey.

Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM
Dear tinidazole can cause black tarry stool but Incidence is unknown..

Some times it cause bleeding gums, blood in urine or stools, burning, numbness, tingling, or painful sensations, chest pain, chills, difficulty swallowing
fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse, fever..etc

If your allergic to it quit the drug and consult your doctor for alternative drug.
