Will Spotting End If Microgynon Medicine Is Stopped?

Hi I've been taking Microgynon 30 back to back for about 3 months because my periods are like going through hell and back, but because of doing so I get light spotting. The side effect has happened before and I took my 7 day break and then started my next packet and the spotting stopped. If I have a 3 day break instead of 7 will the spotting stop?

Welcome to HCM,
Microgynon 30 should be taken for 21 days , with a break of 7 days. Besides contraceptive effects it is given to regularize and reduce the flow of menstrual cycle. If your periods are irregular due to Hormonal imbalance, and your Doctor has ruled out other causes of abnormal bleeding, taking Microgynon exactly as instructed will help you in getting normal period. Do not make it 3 days break. Spotting happens whenever there is either a low level or high level of hormones.
