Will Severe Cough Affect Pregnancy ?

Im 30th weeks pregnant experiencing dry cough w/ phlegm. It's been 4 days and im not taking medicine only continuing taking my regular vitamins my ob gyne had given me.. the coughing is too much because it gives pain in my belly... and phlegm is also there.. will it give problem with my baby? For remedies, warm lemon juice, then 1 teaspoons of honey, then I gargle warm water w/ little salt to relieve the dryness and soreness.

I will agree with the natural therapy you are taking. Most of the medicines for cough have some sedative action and may not be very suitable in pregnancy.

As for the cough, you might want to get a sputum culture done, since you cannot be x rayed in view of the pregnancy

And no, the excess cough should not affect the baby. You see the baby is surrounded by a protective fluid layer. This avoids the baby from getting hurt by any direct pressure. So no, unless there is something critical going on already, it is unlikely to hurt the child
