Will Plantar Fasciitis Causes Pain In The Heels ?

As of last night It feels like there is a nail in the bottom back of my heel. I can not touch it at all and now it is making it difficult to walk. I don t remember injuring it, and it doesn t feel at all like the plantar fasciitis I had years ago. I don t see anything there and I don t remember injuring it but for the last week I have been wearing shoe boots because of the weather. Could it be a different type of recurrence of plantar fasciitis?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

Yes. As you suspected, it may be due to Plantar Fasciitis.
If the boots you are wearing are ill fit, it may the cause for your plantar fasciitis.

Some people are more prone to recurrence of plantar fasciitis because of their work, long standing, wearing ill fit shoes etc.

My advice is to give rest to the foot.
Ice or warm pack in the painful area.
Take pain killers like ibuprofen to relieve inflammation and pain.
Do the toe stretches, calf stretches and towel stretches several times a day, especially when you first get up in the morning.
If possible use proper fitting new shoes.

Hope this helps.

Wishing you good health.
