Will Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Affect Pregnancy?

Hi, I have a question about Pelvic Inflammortory disease (PID) I had it once when I was 21, took a course of anti-biotics and it went away - (now 25) and was wondering if I can still conceive and have a baby? Does scar tissue develop when you have PID the first time?

i can understand your concern.
it is essential to treat the infection leading to the PID as early as possible to prevent any further damage.
since you had taken the course of treatment and the infection got cured it is a good sign.
i would like to know if you have been trying to conceive??? and there has been failure to conceive for a year??? if yes this needs further evaluation.
yes the scar tissue develops post treatment. in some cases this can lead to tubal blockage leading to infertility and ectopic pregnancy
i would suggest a consultation with a gynecologist if you are not able to conceive lately.
