Will Oxygen Cylinder Help Breathing Problems When Battling With Lung Cancer?

my 86 yr father has been battling lung cancer for 3 yr. His Chemo treatments have gone as far as the can for now and seem to have kept his cancer in check for now. He does have problems breathing when being active (he is very active 86 yr old). Would oxygen tank provide him any benefits or assist in building endurance. ? Thanks

Hi
Since your father has lung cancer and is having shortness of breath in activity i would suggest u do a fresh CT scan of chest with contrast to see the current condition of his tumour.
Oxygen tank would provide him benefit in stages of acute shortness of breath and help his lung to remain oxygenated in times of acute distress with breathing and i would also recommend asthalin tablets 4 mg thrice daily after food for him.
Regards
