YES, insertion of penis following ejaculation can cause pregnancy during ovulation time because it contains more sperm.
If you did sex within last 72 hrs, then I suggest her to take emergency pill to avoid unwanted pregnancy. Otherwise, she has to wait for next coming period and undergoes one home pregnancy test (if missed) to confirm pregnancy.
