Will Drug Usage Affect The Fetus When Pregnant?
My husband and I are hoping to adopt and we are communicating with an expectant mother. She had told us that she was addicted to using drugs intraveinously, but that she stopped as soon as she found out that she was pregnant. Assuming that she is being honest with us and that she stopped within the first trimester, how could this effect the fetus?

Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic.Well all the abusive drugs which mother uses can affect fetus specially in first trimester because this is time when fetus important organs like heart ,brain etc are being formed.So its usually advised not to take any drugs or alcohol or cigarettes.
