Will Birth Control Pills Affect Metronidazole Pills?

Hi, my doctor gave me Metronidazole Pills for 7 days, twice a day, for a minor infection that I have. I am currently on my second day. I had sec with my partner and need to take the Plan B Pill. Will this effect me in any way? Is it dangerous to take both at the same time?
