Will Xanax And Muscoril Help With MRI; When Should It Be Taken?
Hi, I have cervical spondolsis with new spasms and pain and numbness. I am now taking muscoril, 4-8 mg. Tomorrow I am required to get an MRI and feeling very anxious about the enclosed space. Would it be possible to take Xanax, 5 mg with the muscoril to get through the MRI. When shld i take these? Any other suggestions for medicines to take or or to take before the MRI? I have already decided not to take the methylprednisone pill tomorrow only as it makes me anxious anyway. Any alternatives than MRI if I can't tolerate it. Thanks.

Anxiety from MRI exam is a pretty common issue. It is possible to take something to alleviate anxiety before the test. Muscoril is not the most indicated means for that purpose. On the other hand Xanax is a good choice, so that is what I think you should use. You can take one pill one hour before the test to help ease your anxiety.
