Will ATT Injection Cause Harm To Baby During Pregnancy?

Hi, doctor. I am 37 yrs old and I am on 28th week of pregnancy (it is first pregnancy). Today I visited my doctor and he gave me ATT injection. My pregnancy is going well without any difficulties. So, could you explain, please, what is a purpose of this injection during pregnancy and can it create any problem for the baby?

hi Linda, 2 doses of tt inj are a must in every pregnancy . this is to prevent development of a deadly condition called tetanus to occur when manipulation occurs at the time of delivery . it is absolutely safe for mother as well as baby. take care .
