Widal And Haemogram Done, Negative Igm Dengue, Severe Weakness, High Fever, Prescribed Azithral. Typhoid Or Dengue?

Test for widal was conducted along with haemogram.The points of concern in the haemogram are that TLC is 3300, Platelet count is 0000, and ESR is 35, Widal tube method shows typhi O 1:240 shows typhi H 1:120 Blood culture shows sterility. Doctor has prescribed azithral500 2 BD for 5 days. Over a few days his appetite has goe down and theres a lot of weakness.Temperature rises to 104 comes down when crocn is taken upto 102 and rises again to 104 within 4 to 5 hours this has been happening for the past 9 days. Is it typhoid or Dengue . Dengue igm results are negative.

It is clearly typhoid, cause anything more than 1:80 in typhi O and 1:120 in typhi H can be diagnosed as typhoid.
In a normal individual typhoid causing bacteria (SALMONELLA TYPHI) may present, so we have to dilute the blood.
FOR TYPHI O-If after more than 80 times dilution (1 ml blood, >80 ml diluent) still organism present then it is diagnosed as typhoid.
FOR TYPHI H- It is >1:120
so you clearly have typhoid.
Dengue - negetive
