Why My Tummy Is Swollen With Stinging Pain?

my tah was done last year - right ovary remained. Had problems with mass cysts on the remaining ovary and had it, adhesions and my appendix removed 2 and a half weeks ago. Now my tum is still swollen and i have a stinging like feeling on my tum (like i have been burnt with boiling water). I am 39, weigh 76 kg's and am 1.57m tall. Should i seek medical attention. Have been taking diclofenic (sp).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The cause of your pain can be due to pressure on nerve supplying the abdomen created by adhesions after surgery. An MRI of abdomen can diagnose and locate any of such location. This can give an answer to the problem. Please consult your surgeon.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
