I am taking Paxil and nabumetone. My doctor wants me to stop taking the nabumetone and get off the Paxil. I have a familial stroke condition. My parents had strokes and my older brother had strokes. Though I do have physical problems, I am in general good health. The doctor wants to put me on a pain medicine, instead of the anti-inflammatory and I do not like taking any pain medicine. Previous problems with either how it made me feel and certain ones had no affect on the pain. I like the nabumetone, because it kept the achiness and pain symptoms down. I have taken Celebrex, Motrin, Anaprox DS, Naprosyn, and other anti-inflamatories and they do not affect me with relief, but do cause major problems with my gut, which I am on prescription ranitidine to balance any problems to arise.
