Why is my 15 month old not taking any food ?

Hello Doctor, My baby is 15 months old and stopped taking food. She gets hungry but only asks for milk only. She was eating properly till a week back and suddenly stopped taking any food. When we try to feed any food, she just don t allow us to feed or just spits the food that we tried. We are worried now. What would be the reason and how to make her eat again?

Welcome to HCM
First of all I would like to inform you that this is a common question asked about this age group. In this age your child will do what she want to,not what parents. That is why there is a difference between feeding and eating. And this is a natural behavior in this age and parents should learn to cope with this so called complex behavior. You should not force your daughter but rather try for various solid and semisolid food.Feeding to a baby is actually a art and parents should learn it with patience. If general activity is good then no need to worry with the normal behavior.
Thanking you.
