My nephew is of 12 yrs old, and he is a hyper active child...he becomes very violent always , he hits my sister a lot...he cannot be controlled by us , he height is 4.4' feet and weight 30 kg. When he had born he had been gone under 8 different operations for cliff lips and for constipation problem. he is so strong after having so many antibiotic that he even hurts himself (such as burns himself,cut himself,etc) but still he doesn't have any pain.

We have tried him for counselling, taken him to psychiatric but still he is not having any change. He is specifically very much violent with his mother only as he doesn't behave the same in front of his father.His father is staying outstation ( working at Qatar).

he has been under treatment form last 1 week. previously doctor had given him Attentrol 10mg in the morning once, 4 days he was behaving well but then again he has started to behave violent. hen consulted again to the doctor he has prescribed for Risdone 1mg in the night after food by 9pm.

I wanted to know for what purpose is Risdone medicine is been actually for. Is there any side effect if he will stop having such medicine later.
