Why Has Vision Worsened Despite Surgery For Correction?

One week ago I had a cataract removed along with a procedure to correct astigmatism, and my vision is much worse now than prior to the surgery. Close vision is extremely blurry with ghosting of letters, and distance vision is much worse as well. The affected eye is still red, and I m blaming the stitches for the itchiness and irritation. I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow. I m pretty devastated, and feel like I made a huge mistake in having the surgery.

In my opinion you should not have combined cataract with refractive surgery. Now you have to wait for complete recovery. continue your treatment as advised, and tomorrow you are visiting surgeon. Hope you will have slow recovery.
