Why Feeling Dizzy And Nauseous Before Periods?

My name is Kim. I am 31yrs old. This morning I woke feeling dizzy and nauseous and feel like I m going to faint. I have never felt like this before And I just don t feel well. The feeling has gotten any better as the day has gone on nor has it gotten worse. I am due for my period any day now. I am anemic. Is that why I feel like this? I have been anemic since I was a teen.

Hello,

The dizziness you are experiencing must be due to a combination of premenstrual symptoms and anemia.

It is very important to undergo a detailed evaluation to identify the reason for chronic anemia. So, please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider for appropriate evaluation and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
