Why Does The Breasts Become Sore And Tender?
Ten years ago I had silicon implants done. Last year I started having very sore and tender breasts, I had mamogram done as well as MRI for the pituitary gland because the doctors suspected over production in prolactin. The results of the MRI were normal. This swelling has come back in my breasts with fever. I had done culture for the liquid that comes out from my breasts. Implants are in excellent condition but showed in a 3D xray that there is a strong pressure inside the breasts that causes the implants to indent in some places. My doctors say that as I am 55 years old, my breasts are shrinking and therefore the implants are too large for my breasts and need to be replaced with a smaller size. Please advise me, I don't know what to do. At the moment I am on Ciprobay for 5 days.

1.Sore and tenderness with silicon implants intact with collection - It could be infective / inflammatory cause.
2.Any foreign body inside the body always have possibilities to get infected.
3.Once the cytology reports comes up depending on the pathogens - antibiotic treatment could be helpful.
4.In complicated cases there is only one option left is operative ( removal / replacement of implants)
