Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain and the explanation of the symptoms it is a kind of clear that you are suffering from
PERICORONITIS in which the gum flap around the wisdom tooth, more specifically the gums behind that is over the throat side are inflamed due to infection which is caused due to food deposit in that area leading to swelling and pain and the pain can radiate to the throat and at times cause swallowing discomfort..
Pain can also radiate to jaw, ear, eye and side of head..
You need not to worry and
consult a dentist and get evaluated and get an x-ray done so that he/she can rule out whether the wisdom tooth is completely erupted or not..
If it is completely erupted the dentist can advise you antibiotics like
Amoxicillin 500 mg three times a day,
Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day and warm saline gargles thrice a day, all has to be taken for 5 days..
In case if there is no relief OPERCULECTOMY that is surgical removal of gum flap under local anaesthesia can be done..
In case if the tooth is impacted then the best treatment is extraction of the wisdom tooth..
Hope this information helps..
