Why Does It Hurt To Swallow And Breathe After Taking Zoloft?
hi I took a zoloft yesterday and I didn t drink enough. I felt a pain in my back and chest. I had difficulty breathing and it hurts when I eat or swallow is my esophagus irritated due to the acid in the zoloft. Alsoi broke out in a sweat. Its this a normal reaction from not enough fluids when I took my medicine
Nausea, tremor, diarrhea, increased sweating, loss of appetite are some of the side effects of Zoloft. Increased sweating is a common side effect of the drug, since the drug increases serotonin which is responsible for the side effects. Adequate hydration is essential. Dose adjustments can be done to control the side effects.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
