Why Do I Have Red Or Purple Marks On My Inner Thighs?

I am a teenager getting lots of exercise and I haven t lost or gained a lot of weight recently, yet in the last couple of months, I have seen growing purple/red marks on my inner thighs. They are indented. I tried stretch mark cream, but the cream just caused an allergic reaction. Do you know what these marks are?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

The marks you developed may be stretch marks due to exercise. The fibers are torned in the dermis which develops linear atrophic pinkish lesions, called striae or stretch marks. I would recommend you to apply tretinoin 0.025% gel and to take vitamin A and E cap and vitamin C tab after consulting the dermatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
