Why Do I Have Excessive Dark Bleeding When I Get Up After Sitting Or Lying Down ?

My period was late 2 days and it s light but when i sit down or lye for a long time than stand up i bleed a lot and it s dark red almost balck and thick what could this be? i m sexualy active i m not pregnant right? I m 20

Hi RainbowCat, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
If you have not had unprotected sex recently, then pregnancy is ruled out. If you have had, get a Urine Pregnancy Test done. This abnormal vaginal bleeding could also happen if you have Hormonal imbalance, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, cervcitis or vaginitis. Get yourself examined by a Gynecologist to rule out the Exact cause.
