Why Do I Have A Bloody Discharge After Getting Off My Birth Control Pills?

Hi I was recently on birth control for probably the past 5 years on and off I recently got off in September of last year I know my body is still trying to adjust I've had two months of normal periods. And this last month my period didn't come on time and then when I did see blood it was kind of bright red orange and its been three weeks and it hasnt stopped . There is some tissue discharge im not sure what it is pleqse help. The flow is light

A common side effect whilst on birth control and sometimes after coming off it is an irregular bleed or irregular menstrusl cycle. This is usually as a result of the change in hormone levels from what it was while you were on the birth control and now. Please report to your doctor for any further assistance.
