Why Are My Taste Buds Swollen And Tongue Painful?

Hello,Im Rhonda ,im 48 years old and have an autonomous thyroid, my throat feels as if im being strangled. ive just finished 3 rounds of anti-biotics for ear and sinus etc. infection with no improvment. My tastebuds are swollenand toungue hurts to move it. dont know what to do. I see a thyroid specialist in 3 weeks. I also have a small fever.

Hello,

You may be suffering from glossitis secondary to antibiotics intake or nutritional deficiencies or infection. Use B complex and iron tablet daily for two weeks. Use salt water for gargling. Avoid alcohol and smoking. If no improvement, please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
