Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The feeling of stiffness under the right rib cage with no visible mass is likely to be due to a muscle cramp or spasm in the area. This can be relieved by doing a hot fomentation.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
