Why Am I Experiencing Delay In Periods After Intercourse?

Hello, I m 2 1/2 weeks late on my period. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests. All are negative. My husband and myself had intercourse on 8/11 and used a condom? Not sure what is going on. Just got a new job so my insurance does not kick in until the 1st of October.

Hallow Dear,

I would have appreciated the date of your menstruation along with the date of intercourse. Also please ascertain whether the condom broke or slipped during the intercourse.

After 2 1/2 weeks of missed period also if your urine tests for pregnancy are negative for 4 times, it is almost impossible that you are pregnant. Still, you may get Beta hCG tests done which is more specific and sensitive and so more reliable. Would it be possible for you to get ultrasonography done? It will give you direct visual evidence of pregnancy status.

The reason for the missed period seems to be something else than pregnancy. The stress of new job could be responsible for delayed periods.

Please take tab Deviry for 5 days and then discontinue. If you are not pregnant (which seems to be the possibility), you will get menses within 4-7 days.

If such irregularity continues, report to the Gynaecologist for proper evaluation of irregular menses. If you are obese, having course hair on legs and other unwanted places), you could be a case of Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. However, there is no reason to discuss all this for just one delayed menses.
