Hello,
Cause of development of bulbous pemphigoid is not exactly known.
It is generally caused by some malfunction in your immune system, however ther are certain medicines which can cause bulbous pemphigoid like furosemide ( LASIX ),penicillin,SULFASALAZINE etc.
Treatment for this condition is mainly done by oral corticosteroids, antibiotics etc.
Carry on with the treatment being offered by the dermatologists.
Thanks
