When Should The Next Pregnancy Test Be Taken?

Hi, Me and my husband have been trying to conceive. By everything I have looked up today I will be 5 weeks 3 days along. and 3 days late on my expected menstrual cycle. I tested on my first day late out of excitement and got a negative result. We are still hopeful and the waiting process is sucky lol. When do you recommend for me to take another pregnancy test?

Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Home pregnancy tests read well when performed 3-7 days after the missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine. So, please repeat the test as suggested after a couple of days. For an earlier and better clarification, you can get the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. This done, you can follow up with a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs and if pregnant, to know the location of the gestation sac, the age of the pregnancy and the viability. Hope this helps.
