Yes pregnancy kit is safe to test pregnancy and you can use it too like all people do.The periods can get delayed upto 1 week also due to many reasons;but if you have had unprotected sex in this month you should better test for pregnancy.Please use first urine sample of morning and since you are 4 days delayed you can test tommorrow.
