Welcome to HCM!

The guidelines from the Typhoid Diet state:
1.After two weeks and thereafter fats like olive oil, clarified butter may be included in the diet, but their consumption should be kept to a minimum.
2.Fresh vegetables and fruit juices encouraged. The skins and a high fiber diet should be avoided until intestines completely healed.
3.No food with a tendency to ferment or putrefy in the lower intestines like pulses and legumes should be included in the diet yet.
4. Overall diet should be optimal in vitamin C, the B vitamins and complete proteins.
Hope this helps! Kathryn Shattler MS,RDN
