I have an inner ear infection and have lost hearing in my left ear from it. How long will it take to correct itself and is there anything I can do to fix it? I am on 500 mg Augmentin 2X a day and 10 mg prenisone 2X a day for week then 1X a day for a week.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear infection . Well you are taking right medication , complete the course as per perscription properly and it can take around 1-2 week to fully get rid of the ear infection depending upon the severity . I would suggest you to apply dry warm compresses to external ear and keep your ear dry until it gets alright , which is very important and cover your ear while bathing . As the ear will get beter hearing will also going to be better .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
