Suggest Treatment For Sinus Congestion And Ringing In Ears

hi, i have had vertigo for 4 months now from ringing in the ear, sinus congestion and vomiting. i have been ok for 2 months except for mild ringing in the ear but now i have all the symptoms again with severe ringing in the ear again. my mri was fine. Went to ent dr. he said is a virus can last 4 to 6 months. My b12 was high on my blood test when this all started. please give me some advise. thanks Anna

Hi,

Ringing and tinnitus in ears with vomiting with normal MRI can be due to severe inflammation of the inner ear structures like cochlea and vestibule with semicircular canals which help in balancing. Inflammation of the hair cells gives ringing in ears and needs a long term treatment.

Also needed is to see whether the blood sugar and blood pressures are normal or not and if raised then needs a proper treatment as these can be instigating or enhancing factors. Continue the medicines as advised by your doctors. Also go for Audiometry and any other investigations as advised and have proper long term management if you want results. Stop taking anything that contains vitamin B12.
