What Treatment Should I Take For Ovary Cyst ?

hi there. I am about to turn 31 in a few weeks. I haven t had any children. I have pretty severe pain on my left side (sometimes it is on the right side). I have been to the ER 3 times because of this. The doctors in the past have said it was an ovarian cyst that ruptured. I was in the ER about a month ago with really bad pains. They did a transverse vaginal ultrasound and weren t sure if it was cancer or a blood filled cyst. I went to a doctor for a follow up and have another ultra sound on Friday. Any questions/tests that I should have done or ask about with my doctor?

It's possible it could be a blood filled Corpus luteal cyst or even torsion (twisting of the ovary around itself) as these could cause severe lower abdominal pain. You need to find out if you need Surgery and how to further prevent these pains. Also you need to rule out other causes of pelvic pain like endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease and fibroids. Consult your Gynaecologist in this regard. Have there been any disturbances in your periods. Are you a mother.
