What To Do To Ease Cough And Cold, Excessive Saliva When Coughing In A Child?

my son is 5 and has a terrible cough and cold. He has developed excessive saliva and keeps coughing more and more until he is being sick. I develop the same symptoms when I have a cold but being an adult, I can manage. I am feeling so helpless for my little one. What can I do to ease symptoms? he has been having paracetamol for his fever.

Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
For cold you have to give some antihistaminic preparation like wickoryl syrup.
Steam inhalation will help.
Avoid cold foods and drinks.
Keep the child in a warm atmosphere.
Severe cough needs a cough medication containing methorphon.
This may be due to whooping cough also.
Better consult a pediatrician and give appropriate antibiotic if required.
