What To Do If There Is Abcess On My Gums?

The little peice of skin kinda like a string connecting my lip to my gums(frenulum) I think, has an abscess on it but its really small. my mom said to gargle peroxide and Listerine which i have but is that the right thing to do? Please Notify me at YYYY@YYYY

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the abscess could be because of the gum or tooth infection...gargling with mouth wash will help you to keep the area sterile but the cause has to be removed for the abscess to heal.. consult a oral physician and get your oral cavity checked...you may need to take radiographs.. take a course of antibiotics, if needed you need to go for TCT or scaling depending upon the cause.. i hope my answer will help you..take care..
