What To Do If Having Fuzzy Head And Sickness After Being Diagnosed With Epilepsy?

Hi I have been feeling ill and stressed for the past week and a half. It started valentines day when I had a bad stomach and blacked out while on the loo and came round on the floor a couple of seconds later. I then had a bad cold and on Friday was sick twice and have had a fuzzy head on and off since. I now have blocked sinuses feel sick and fuzzy head which is stopping me sleeping as I suffer from epilepsy which is controlled but causes me to worry if I feel fuzzy headed. Hope that all makes sense. Can you recommend anything as had enough of being ill. Thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Fuzzy head may be due to either, side effects of anti-epileptic drug(s) or, due to sinusitis. If you had named the drug(s) and doses of the drugs for epilepsy, I could have advised whether fuzzy head is due to drugs or sinusitis.

Sinusitis with collection of secretions inside them very commonly produce fuzzy head. The problem will be solved once the secretions flow out and the nasal passage is patent.

I will therefore advise you to try and clear up the sinuses with nasal decongestants + anti-histaminic drug + steam inhalation through the nose and, drink plenty of water daily.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
