Hello,

You are suffering from loss of taste and voice. You have unrelenting headache . you have history of persistent sinusitis. Taste is a complex sense and may get affected due to loss of smell, anosmia. A complete loss of the sense of taste is called ageusia makes a person unable to detect any tastes. Hypogeusia causes partial loss of one type of taste. Taste involves many organs and tissues like the tongue, roof of the mouth, throat, and nose. When these organs are affected due to URTI, cold, flu, dental problems, oral hygiene, sinusitis, head injuries, middle ear infections, etc.

Certain tests may cause damage to these delicate organs and trigger the symptoms thus affecting smell and taste. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT to rule out any growth in the nasal cavities, or any other pathology or cancer that is causing you symptoms. You may need olfactory training and topical corticosteroids. Sinus or middle ear infections will be treated with antibiotics.

Loss of voice is commonly due to untreated laryngitis. Give voice rest. Gargle with warm salt water 3-4 times a day. Quit smoking, maintain oral hygiene. You can use antihistamine and vaporizers to reduce inflammation in the nose. Take steam inhalation once daily to reduce symptoms of sinusitis and headache. You can take Acetaminophen or Combiflam, one SOS when needed to get rid of headache.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

You are suffering from unrelenting headaches and loss of taste. You feel stressed out and can't speak. Headache can be caused due to dehydration, working on lap top or PC for long, skipping meals, stress, tension headache, cluster headache, sinus headache, etc. Headache will go away by treating the cause. Take adequate amount of water, get treated for your sinus problem, stay away from stress both emotional and physical, do not skip meals.

Adjust your laptop screen brightness, avoid noisy and crowded places, you can take Acetaminophen or Combiflam to get rid of headache, take coffee, cool compress may help, turn off the lights, take a walk in fresh air. Loss of taste commonly occurs due to mouth dryness, deficiency of vitamin B12 and zinc, chemical exposure, tobacco use, GERD, Infection, dental problems, etc.

An impaired taste issue can result in malnutrition, dehydration, paralysis, and the spread of infections and diseases such as cancer. Take food rich in vitamin B12 and you can also take supplements. Stay away from addictions if any. Ginger can stimulate your taste buds, cayenne pepper may help clear any sinus blockage that is causing your impairment of taste. Lemons and apple cider vinegar can be helpful to stimulate your taste buds.

Cinnamon is a powerful motivator for taste buds. You may just need a supplement to restore a deficiency in nutrients. Try taking supplements. If you are suffering from the cold, allergies, or flu, antihistamines or decongestants may be used. If you still continue to have taste buds problems, get clinically examined by an ENT specialist and a dentist. Get treated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
