What To Do For Cramping During Bowel Movement After Removal Of Appendix?

I had major surgery last month, had appendix removed but as this was my 3rd attack the dr. had to remove some bowel, large and small intestine and an ovary due to infection, now I am having major cramping in two places when I have to have a bowel movement... should I go back to see my dr. or is this normal?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Seems in relation with postoperative filmy adhesion.

Though primary relief can be obtained with mere analgesic or antispasmodic tablets, I strongly recommend issuing the report with operating surgeon to avoid future further issues in aspects with the possible underlying adhesions which may harm in future.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
