Is 500mg Of Cipro And Flagyl High Dose For Diverticulitis?
Hello. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis today, and was prescribed 500mg each of Cipro and Flagyl. I cannot reach my doctor or pharmacy to confirm if the doses are correct, because I thought that one of the meds was supposed to be for only 50mg. Is it normal to prescribe such high doses of both?

Combination of cipro(ciprofloxacin) and flagyl(metrogyl) will be very effective for diverticulitis. The dose of cipro will be 500 and flagyl will be 400. You can get a combination drug and no need to buy both drug separately.
