What To Do For Allergy?

my husband has a very bad allergy that we think was caused by contact with antifreeze(He is a Mechanic). The allergy is sparked by any emotional or physical shocks. He has just had a bad tummy bug which caused High fever. He has had this condition for about 30 years and occurs sporadically. Face swells and he gets large red inflamed lumps over his body. We have used Celestamine and Zyrtec with a certain amount of success but its getting expensive. Is their an alternative?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The swelling and rash are ,as mentioned, possibly due to allergies but to determine the exact cause he may want to consider allergy testing.

It may or may not be related to the anti freeze. It is possible that there may be another cause that may be contributing.

IF there is another source and his exposure can be reduced then it may be possible to reduce his reactions and he may not need antihistamines any longer.

I hope this helps
