hi I have been having an extreme panic because IM scared if I have herpes I have no lesions, bumps or anything in my vaginal area. I had gotten a Std test last month haven't had sex in 2 months but when I got tested I was clear and got a vaginitis test and came out positive for yeast. so everyone I get my period I get really irritated there it feels very uncomfortable my Livia majora gets very irritated. what can this be?

If you have no lesions, a previously normal STD test and not currently sexually active, then the chance that you have herpes is small.

Some women do experience yeast infections along with their periods, this does not mean that you have any sexually transmitted infections.

There are topical treatments and oral medication that you can use to treat the yeast infection.

Examples are nizoral, monistat, canesten
