What Should I Do For The Low Grade Pre Cancer Cells In My Cervix?

Hello. My mane is jeanine. I am a 47 yr old female. Went for a routine gyno exam and doc said she saw something on my cervix she did not like. Pap came backk good and she Lso took several biopsies that came back good. I went for a cone biopsy one month age. Results showd very low grade pre cancer cells. What should i do next She sugested a pap every 3 months to watch it, but to me thT is not good enough becaduse the pap never picked these cells up. She fhan sugested thT in 3 months she will do. Colposcopy. Should i be worried. Should go into manhattan. Is her approach okay

Her approach is scientifically correct provided the margins of the cone excision did not show any pre-cancer cells. In that case you are cured of your present disease. However, the remaining cervix remains at risk for future development of pre-cancer or cancer for which a PAP is sufficient. If however, you are too worried about the future development of cancer, you can insist on getting your uterus and cervix surgically removed that will completely obliterate the risk
