Hello. thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. As you are having headache, feeling nauseous, you should take rest.
Now we have to rule out dangerous signs of head injury
: vomiting
: loss of consciousness/decreasing consciousness
: persistent non relieving headache
: bleed through nose/ear/throat
: onset of new focal deficit
: fits
Out of these signs, you do not have any sign. But you are having nausea. If your symptoms do not decrease even after taking painkiller like Diclofenac sodium or anti emetic like domperidone, it is better to consult ER. If any of above sign comes, consult ER. You might be advised CT scan of head to rule out fracture or intracranial bleed.

At home, you can follow these tips
: Take painkiller Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: Avoid drugs which can cause sedation
: In case of vomiting, turn head to side.
: Keep your head at higher level than chest
: Apply cold compresses at inure site to relieve swelling
Hope it will help you.

Take care. Thanks.

Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. It is good that a day has passed and you are alright. There is no loss of consciousness/confusion/vomiting/fits which is good for you.

You should also observe yourself for few other dangerous head injury signs

: bleed through nose/ear/throat
: Onset of new focal deficit
: Confusion, altered behaviour

If there is any of above sign, you should consult doctor. He will advise CT head to rule out fracture or bleed in brain. Fracture is usually managed by conservative treatment while bleed may require surgery.

If no above sign, you should not worry. The fluid sensation in head which was due to blood collection in scalp layer, dizziness, nausea will improve with time. To fasten relief, you can follow few tips

: Avoid pressure at injury site
: Keep head at higher level than chest
: You can take painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: You can take Domperidone after proper prescription. It will relieve nausea.

If still no relief, you can consult doctor. Hope it will help you.

Thanks. Take care.
