What Should I Do For Abdominal Pain With Irregular Periods And Dark Brown Discharge?

I hv been getting abdominal pains on and off for almost 2 years,at the clinic they wld give me something and assume its from cold ...they did tests for STD bt they were negetive bt I've never seen a gynecologist...my period has never been regular ,from the beggining I only get my period 4 or 5 times a year and its always heavy wth blood clots...recently I started taking birth control pills for the first time(I'm 30yrs old) and I'm gettin a clumpy dark brown discharge for more than a week now(a lot of it I hv to wear a pad)..it doesn't smell and my abdominal pains seem to be gone ever since starting the pill...what could be causing the discharge?shld I see a gynecologist?..I hv lost appetite as well and sometimes get nauseas and start shaking as if my sugar level is low...my tastebuds are funny and my head feels numb at times..its been 2 weeks now on the pill,It was not recommended by a doctor ..I decided to take so I can regulate my period and it has helped with the unexplained abdominal pains I've had for almost a year now(on and off)..plz help

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be due to the harmones disturbance, may be poly cystic ovarian syndrome.
Any how to confirm the diagnosis you better consult a gynecologist for diagnosis and treatment. If you have P.C.O.S, you can continue the treatment till it is cured.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and
protein rich foods,to support the treatment.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
