What S Again Causing Irregular Heart Beat 2 Yrs After Its Correction?
Hello Doctor Grief....I m taking 50mg of metoprolol for an irregular heart beat. I did have a bout of A fib couple years ago but it was corrected through medications. I still feel my heart bouncing all over the place and whenever I go up an incline when walking I m breathing extremely hard but after 30-45 seconds I m alright. I work out when I can to stay in somewhat shape. I weigh 195 I m 57 and my cholesterol is around 140, BP is around 185/88 PR 82. It just seems like I can t get my heart from fluttering all the time. I do have a Doctor do you think I should call him to let him know my considers?
Thanks for the query. It is quite reasonable to contact the doctor for further management of the arrhythmia, whether other medications to control the rhythm are an option for you or perhaps catheter ablation, since you seem to be very symptomatic with exertion; a formal treadmill stress test with imaging can be considered to see how your pulse responds.
Hope this helps, wish you the best,
