What Relieves Pain Due To Medicines After The Placement Of Stents?
My husband is on statins due to placement of 4 stents. He is in so much pain from the meds that he is unable to do almost everything. He simply has no life. He just stopped the Crestor and has felt absolutely GREAT for the first time in a year. What can he take? Statins are OUT!

Hi,
Statins are important class of drug for heart patient but since he is having intolerable side effects, various options other than stopping is to try alternate daily dosing of the statin. If that doesn't help then it is to be switched over to other one like Pravastatin. Also thyroid, cpk level and vit D levels should be done.
