What Might Be The Reason For Prolonged Periods Along With Lower Abdominal Pain And Dizziness?

Hello, I currently had a menstrual cycle that has lasted 4 weeks. I am on no birth control meds and I’m 43. The last 2 weeks have been more blood clots and mucous clots and not a flow. The center of my lower abdomen, above my pelvis is sore (aches). Also I am constantly lightheaded, exhausted/fatigued, and my appetite is practically nonexistent. I have recently been having more hair loss than normal too. And my joints, knees especially ache.

Hello,

The fatigue and dizziness could be due to lost blood in menstruation. The iron tablet can be prescribed for that.

You are also having pelvic pain. So for such complaint, you need to investigate with ultrasonography pelvis to rule out any pelvic inflammatory disease if present.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
