He does have oxygen and nebulizer at home and inhaler s. but now they have changed his inhaler to Advair and Tudoza every 12 hrs. They said that if this doesn t help with his blebs then he would have to go to the hospital to have a IV put in to run through him with some type of med.the hole bag could yu tell me what that could be? And is bleb treated able. He is also on an antibiotic Doxycline. I know this can collapse his lungs but i am curiouse if it can be treated and with what? This isn t cancer is it? We are wondering if the inhalers dont work then what would be the bag of IV they that would have to run once a monh.Is he in a critical zone and some kind of cancer, cause it runs bad through his family please help us.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Blebs are not the cancer which are the air pockets at the apex of lungs usually more common in COPD patient. Blebs will not go away with medications whatsoever. Your husband need not to stress more or will not go through strenous exercise or heavy activities and stop smoking if he is a smoker because blebs can rupture giving rise to pneumothorax which will give rise to acute dyspnea. Surgery is the treatment of choice for blebs for which you may consult a cardiothoracic sign. You can send the CT scan of your husband to me. If you have further queries you can ask me.
Thank you
