What Medication Should Be Used For Severe Pain In Tooth During Pregnancy?

i am rajashree. i am 28 years old.i am pregnant from 11 week.i have a tremendous pain in my teeth from last night.i am unable to go to my dentist right now.what medicine should i use for pain relief? i have also cavities problem from long time . so what can i do? please advise me as soon as possiable.

Hello and thank you for the question.

In the setting of cavities and oral pain, the possibility exists of a dental infection, or abscess. This must be evaluated immediately. Routine AND urgent dental care during pregnancy is completely appropriate and should not be delayed because of the pregnancy. Until you get seen, which should be very soon, you can take Tylenol for the pain.
